Blisland, a lovely moorland village, has a well-known pub renowned for real ales and good food. Just beyond the village, down a short narrow unmade lane (unsuitable for low suspension vehicles) with the Owners and one neighbour nearby, Trepenal Cottage is ideal for a peaceful holiday. The converted single-storey barn has broadband access, under-floor heating and the open plan living-room has oak laminate floors, deep grey-blue leather sofas and a cosy wood-burner. The kitchen is well-equipped and there is a sparkling white shower-room with a large walk-in shower. Both bedrooms are charming with solid wood beds and pretty linens. Well situated in mid-Cornwall, a bucket and spade day at Polzeath is within a half-hour drive and the Camel Trail starts just down the road; why not hire bikes in Wadebridge and cycle to Padstow, visit the Eden Project or drive down to St Ives? Trepenal Cottage (with a private water supply, tested regularly), is in the ideal spot for exploring all that Cornwall can offer.
