This beautiful cottage is set down a private driveway behind an old iron gate, in a tranquil location just outside the pretty village of Gorran Churchtown. Old slate flagstones, sash windows and original beams pay testament to the history of this Grade II Listed cottage, while a contemporary downstairs bathroom, a kitchen-area with modern appliances and access to broadband offer modern luxuries. The Owner lives in the old vicarage next door and is immensely hospitable and welcoming, but carefully respects your privacy once you are settled in. The large, comfortably furnished sitting-room has a warming open fire and looks out over the private cottage garden to the front, abundantly planted and perfect for outdoor meals and drinks. The three pretty bedrooms upstairs are decorated in cottage-style, with ornate bedsteads and attractive linens. Safe sandy beaches at Caerhays and Gorran Haven are a five minute drive away, as are beautiful gardens at Caerhays Castle and Heligan. The nearby fishing village of Mevagissey is a delightful jumble of fishermen’s cottages, ancient pubs and quaint shops, and the Eden Project is half an hour by car. Please note that the changeover times are 4pm on arrival and 10am on departure.
