DescriptionThe village of Marldon is tucked away in a lovely valley close to the town of Totnes. Berry Pomeroy Castle is nearby – well worth a visit, and the coast is not far, with numerous beaches to be explored. The Owner also owns Jasmine Cottage (2218) next door, and runs the Church House Inn down the road, renowned for good food – so much so it was voted the best pub in Devon in a 2007 poll by the magazine ‘Devon Life’ and was the first pub in Devon to be listed in the Michelin pub guide. Wisteria Cottage (formerly a barn) is one of a group of five cottages (on right in photograph with two black doors). There is a patio-area in front and inside the open plan living-room has pastel washed walls, wood and tiled floors, exposed beams, a deep inglenook fireplace with a wood-burner and a contemporary kitchen. Upstairs are three comfortable and stylishly furnished bedrooms. Whether for a long weekend with friends or a family holiday in high summer (although not suitable for babies and young children as there is no large garden), Wisteria Cottage is sure to enchant all who stay there.
