This charming little pied-a-terre is part of Falmouth’s Packet Quays development, built into the hillside and enjoying stunning views over the rooftops of the apartments below to the busy harbour and Roseland peninsula in the distance (see photograph). The sitting/dining-room, which has doors out to a spacious balcony, and the mezzanine bedroom above both make the most of the panorama with full-height windows, allowing the view to be enjoyed from the comfort of the bed; a wonderful way to start each day. With the shower-room on the mezzanine level and a small but well-equipped galley kitchen below, Lapwing provides a delightful base from which to explore the buzzing sailing town of Falmouth. The shops, bars and restaurants are a short walk down the hill, as is the Prince of Wales Pier from where ferries sail to St Mawes, Flushing, the Cathedral City of Truro and the Helford River. Coastal walks and several beautiful Cornish gardens are within easy driving distance with the dramatic coastline of the north coast only slightly further away.
