Set in the heart of the creekside village of Gweek, well-known for its working boatyard and the National Seal Sanctuary, this stone-fronted, end of terrace cottage will give you a true taste of Cornish village life in the beautiful Helford valley. The cottage has been lovingly restored, with tremendous attention to detail. The well-equipped kitchen/diner has hand-built cupboards with beech worktops, a Belfast sink and an ornamental Rayburn. The farmhouse dining-table is near the French windows leading into a fully enclosed, archetypal cottage garden, with a hand-built Wendy House, a small netted wildlife pond and a stream (fully fenced, but please take care with toddlers). The sitting-room has a welcoming wood-burner and blue sofas, whilst the beautiful bathroom is charming with a roll-top bath and old pine furniture. Upstairs are two bedrooms, one with a super king-size bed. The beaches of the Lizard, including Kynance Cove, are a short drive away, and there are some wonderful walks and public gardens on your doorstep, as well as an excellent pub.
