This beautifully restored detached former barn is ideal for couples and small families. Along with a spacious double bedroom and en suite bathroom on the ground floor, plus a separate cloakroom, the cottage also has twin beds on a mezzanine level, although with limited headroom and sloping ceilings the room is recommended for children only. The open plan living-room has a well planned kitchen and cosy sitting-area, and doors lead from the dining-area out to a south-facing patio. Set down a narrow lane on a hill (see photograph) overlooking farmland towards St Austell, The Lodge is rural in nature but enjoys easy access to good roads. The Eden Project, the fishing port of Mevagissey and the historic port of Charlestown are nearby, with sandy beaches at Porthpean and Pentewan. The lower price band applies from 1 January to 19 June and from 26 September to 14 December for parties of 2 + cot or less.
