DescriptionThis pretty terraced cottage makes a perfect base for walking holidays in this beautiful part of Cornwall. The cottage was once home to a 19th Century mining family – bal-maidens were the women who worked at the mine heads, while the men went underground – and the area’s mining heritage is all around (and recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site). The cottage has been stylishly renovated and comfortably furnished. The open plan sitting/dining-room has an inglenook fireplace housing a large wood-burner, with stairs up to the two bedrooms and bathroom.
