As you drive down the unmade lane towards Barrett’s Zawn and the Owner’s home, who will be the first to shout ‘I can see the sea! I can see the sea!’? This stunning detached barn conversion boasts an enviable and unique location (see photograph) with breathtaking sea views as far as the eye can see. Set in an unrivalled position, rugged coastline stretches up from the house towards Tintagel and down to Port Isaac, with its charming shops and art galleries. Barrett’s Zawn has tremendous character coupled with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. No expense has been spared in ensuring that the conversion offers excellent accommodation, furnished with flair. Utilising local materials such as granite and slate alongside oak floors, exposed beams, colourful bed linens and fantastic bathrooms, even the most discerning guest will not be disappointed. All the bedrooms are on the ground floor, with the stunning master bedroom, approached by slate steps, secreted away in the round barn. This room, a bolthole in itself, has a free-standing double-ended trough bath, super king-size bed and a flat screen television all nestled under the rounded beamed ceiling. An oak staircase winds up to the open plan living-room where the elevated sea views are phenomenal. Deep recessed window seats offer a resting point for all to enjoy. This spacious room is a joy with comfortable sofas flanking the wood-burner, whilst the very well-equipped kitchen/dining-area is warmed by the luxurious Aga (the main cooking appliance, although an additional hob and microwave with grill are provided). Discover the sumptuous results of cooking with this much loved cooker and you will not wish to return home! Outside, the large patio-area and a spacious lawn provide ample space to play a game or dine outside and enjoy the sunsets. This ideal retreat provides something a little bit special for friends and families wishing to holiday together – it really is a year-round treat! This property has a private water supply, regularly tested. Please note that the changeover times are 4pm on arrival and 10am on departure.
