This enchanting thatched cottage is ideal for visits to Branscombe, Lyme Regis, Beer and the Jurassic Coast at Charmouth (where fossil hunting is a must) – all within ten miles. You can visit Seaton by tramway or browse the antiques shops in nearby Colyton or the lace market town of Honiton. The wooded garden to the front of the detached cottage is fully enclosed, and the small lawned area and large secluded patio are perfect for al fresco eating. The interior of The Garden Cottage has been renovated to the highest standard with great attention to period detail, from the oil-fired Heritage range in the kitchen/diner (the main cooking appliance, supplemented with a combination microwave) to the Victorian-style slipper bath in the downstairs bathroom. There are some characterful low beams and doorways (tall people beware). The sitting-room boasts an inglenook fireplace housing a warming wood-burner effect electric stove, two comfortable sofas and attractive antique furniture. The large, well-equipped kitchen/diner has a handsome pine dresser and a large dining-table, perfect for convivial gatherings. The three beautiful bedrooms are stylish and comfortable and have views across the pretty garden.
