This detached former barn has been converted using the latest energy-saving technology and has achieved Gold Level status under the Green Tourism Business Scheme. A ground-source heat pump warms the house via under-floor heating and solar panels supply hot water, making this single-storey cottage both comfortably warm and environmentally sympathetic. The open plan living-room, with farmland views, has a high-vaulted ceiling to enhance the spacious feel. The sitting-area has comfortable sofas, a contemporary wood-burner and French doors opening onto a terrace, perfect for barbecues and evening drinks. Decorated in neutral colours throughout, the master bedroom has an en suite shower-room with walk-in shower, while the remaining bedrooms share a well appointed bathroom. Essentially rural and completely private, but only minutes from good roads, The Mowhay is an excellent base from which to explore the cliff walks and sandy beaches of the north coast, and offers easy access to the Cathedral City of Truro and the sailing waters of Falmouth and the south coast. From the cottage a delightful walk over the Owners’ farmland leads to a large lake where a picnic table and bird hide encourage budding naturalists to relax and observe the wide variety of wildlife.
