On the edge of the attractive town of Bovey Tracey, known as ‘the gateway to the moor’, is Brookfield House, a charming Edwardian property set in two acres of secluded grounds with panoramic views of Dartmoor. Follow the private drive past the house, where the Owners offer Bed and Breakfast, and Pottery Leat Cottage (graded five star by VisitBritain) is at the bottom in its own enclosed garden. What was once the coach house has now been transformed into a very stylish cottage. Outside is a covered patio where guests can enjoy a drink or meal on a warm summer’s night. Step inside and the bedrooms are on the ground floor, each with an en suite bathroom or shower-room. Upstairs the gorgeous open plan living-room has large windows to take advantage of the views, some exposed beams, wood floors, deep soft sofas and a very well-equipped kitchen/dining-area. Bovey Tracey is ideally situated for exploring both Dartmoor and south Devon, and the town boasts some interesting shops, restaurants and galleries. Ideal for a long relaxing holiday or an out-of-season break, Pottery Leat Cottage is very special. *A cot is not provided, please bring your own travel cot.
