Anyone with a romantic yearning for a harbourside haven will be thrilled with Penally Cottage. Full of atmosphere and with the occasional low beam, this beautifully decorated end of terrace cottage looks down to the river rushing to Boscastle harbour and across to the hillside opposite. Guests can hide away with a book on the window seat and watch the world go by. A pretty patio across the lane from the house overlooks the water (please take care with children). The sea is bound to call and guests can run up the public footpath outside the cottage to the cliffs above. Walkers and neighbours have a right of way past the cottage but guests will feel like the king of the castle. Slate floors and wood panelling painted in muted shades of the sea are just right and Boscastle itself is magnetic in all seasons. The shops, pubs and restaurants of this wonderful village are all on the doorstep, while the surf and moors of rugged north Cornwall are close by. A historic home for the discerning, Penally Cottage is a house to remember.
