Set in beautiful, unspoilt rolling countryside, down a network of narrow country lanes and close to the stunning east Devon coast, this is the perfect country retreat, built from golden flint under a thick thatch. Next to the Owners’ 16th Century farmhouse and accessed through an enclosed courtyard, Stockers Cottage has its own sun terrace with fabulous views across undulating farmland (please supervise dogs around livestock), separated from the cottage by an ingenious ha-ha (please take care with children). The lovingly renovated interior offers comfort and relaxation, the restful sitting-room having a cosy wood-burner. The hand-built kitchen is well-equipped and a separate dining-room encourages convivial meals. Upstairs, both bedrooms look over farmland and the bathroom has been finished to a high standard. With Lyme Regis in one direction and bustling Honiton with its tea-rooms and antiques shops in the other, there is plenty to keep you busy. The Jurassic Coast is just a short drive away, the beaches at Beer and Branscombe beg to be explored and countryside walks abound. After all that exercise, a Devon cream tea should be high on your list of priorities! *A cot is not provided, please bring your own travel cot.
