Description

Lostwithiel is the medieval capital of Cornwall, nestling in the beautiful Fowey valley, overlooked by Restormel Castle and surrounded by woodland, riverside walks and an estuary nature reserve. This elegant apartment is part of the splendid Grade II Listed former engineering works designed by Isambard Kingdom Brunel. These award-winning, energy-saving, triple-glazed properties stand in landscaped communal gardens between the banks of the River Fowey (see photograph) and the railway line (passenger and freight trains pass slowly). Take the old Cornish Riviera Line to the fishing port of Looe, or hop aboard for a fun-filled day on the surfing beaches of Newquay. With accommodation on the first and second floors, Riverview offers a fully equipped kitchen/diner and separate sitting-room with French doors opening onto a balcony overlooking the water (take care with children as the river bank is unfenced).
