A ten minute walk down to the sea, the village of Holcombe is tucked away in the Devon countryside within easy reach of the attractions of the south Devon coast. This cosy, end of terrace cottage has an open plan living-room decorated in warm yellows and reds with leather furniture. Stairs to the bedrooms lead from the kitchen/dining-area and a part-glazed door opens to the enclosed garden – lovely on a summer's evening. There is a seldom-used right of way across the garden. The church is opposite (a bell rings at around ten on Sunday mornings) and up the road is the pub, offering good food.
If exploring the area, you can stroll down to the coast via the quaintly named Smugglers Lane and at low water there is a lovely beach. The coastal path above runs beside the railway and goes into Teignmouth, a bit of a walk, but a great beach when you get there. There is such a lot to do close by you probably won't need to venture far.
