A ten minute walk down to the sea, the village of Holcombe is tucked away in the Devon countryside within easy reach of the attractions of the south Devon coast. This cosy end of terrace cottage (on the left in the photograph) has an open plan living-room decorated in warm yellows and Indian reds, with leather furniture and a wood-burner effect stove. The stairs to the bedrooms lead from the kitchen/dining-area and a part-glazed door opens out to the enclosed garden – lovely on a summer’s evening. There is a seldom-used right of way across the garden. The church is opposite (a bell rings out at around ten on Sunday mornings) and just up the road is the pub, which offers good food. Regrettably this cottage is not suitable for children under six.
