A detached bungalow with unexpectedly spacious accommodation, The Sheiling is set in the quiet village of Golant, a minute’s walk from the tidal moorings of the Fowey river (see photograph). An abundance of well-tended shrubs surround the house, with a pond to the front and a little stream at the rear (please take care with children) where the wonderful sun-trap patio borders the south-facing sun-room. A double and single bedroom are situated on the ground floor while upstairs the en suite master bedroom (take care with the sloping ceiling) has the added luxury of an adjoining sitting-room, a wonderful retreat after busy days on the beach or exploring. With the sailing town of Fowey and the golden sands of Carlyon Bay nearby, and the wonders of Heligan and the Eden Project within easy reach, The Sheiling is a delightful base for wonderful days out and a relaxing time when in.
