Set down a leafy lane amidst beautiful farmland on the Roseland peninsula, this delightful semi-detached cottage used to be a stable for the manor house next door, your only near neighbour. From the wonderful carved antique bedstead in the master bedroom to the sparkling cut glass wall sconces, the attention to detail and sheer comfort of this cottage will delight visitors. The light, airy kitchen/diner is kept cosy by the oil-fired Rayburn and the welcoming sitting-room, with a wood-burner for cooler evenings, has a door to the enclosed garden. With the wonderful sailing waters, restaurants and galleries of St Mawes only a short journey away, and footpaths on your doorstep, The Old Stables is a marvellous base from which to explore the area. Sandy beaches at Pendower and Portscatho, and the Eden Project and Heligan Gardens are all nearby. The King Harry Ferry crosses the River Fal to the National Trust gardens of Trelissick and the bustling sailing town of Falmouth. The Owners are happy for guests to walk their land, stock permitting. Please note that the changeover times are 4pm on arrival and 11am on departure.
