Tucked away down a quiet country lane, yet only one mile from the sandy beaches of Dawlish Warren, with its nature reserve, this Grade II Listed ‘chocolate box’ farmhouse enjoys a peaceful rural location. Dairy Cottage is believed to date from the 16th Century and is furnished in a traditional style with some antique furniture. The large sitting-room, with an ornamental inglenook fireplace, is decorated in warm shades and has comfortable ivory sofas. The kitchen/diner is fitted with a range of pale blue units, has some exposed stone walls and looks out over the pretty garden and small pond (take care with toddlers). The staircase splits on the landing and there are steps into the bedrooms, with three steps up to the family bathroom. The two double bedrooms (one with an en suite shower-room) are very attractive and the twin bedroom has a shallow step inside the room. The Owners live next door and also have a small adjoining cottage, but guests will be quite private with their own parking and garden. The coastal resorts of Dawlish, Teignmouth and Torbay are only a short distance away by car. *A cot is not provided, please bring your own travel cot.
