Just outside the village of Clawton, close to the Devon/Cornwall border and only half an hour’s drive from the beaches at Bude and Sandymouth Bay, North Beer is a 300 acre dairy farm. Approached by an unmade farm lane, the milking parlour and other barns are beyond the cottage and the only neighbours are the Owners, who live in the farmhouse across the yard. This comfortable and attractively furnished detached cottage has plenty of space. The sitting-area has a beamed ceiling, terracotta sofas offset by the cream carpet and a wood-burner effect electric stove which provides a welcoming focal point. A step leads up to the dining-area and from here a door leads into the very spacious kitchen. This is a delight, with Shaker-style cream units and dark green worktops. Ideally situated for exploring both Devon and Cornwall, this is a lovely cottage, and with the benefit of a pretty enclosed garden and patio area, guests are sure to enjoy returning ‘home’ after a busy day out. There is a private water supply (tested regularly). *A cot is not provided, please bring your own travel cot.
