Outside the village of Staverton, Dart View Cottage (although woods prevent a view of the river) is found in a peaceful, secluded setting up a steep drive (unsuitable for low suspension vehicles) with only one immediate neighbour. Dating back to the 19th Century and beautifully decorated by the Owner, who lives in separate accommodation beyond the cottage, this is a light and sunny house. The well-equipped kitchen, with a tiled floor, cream units and a small fish tank, leads through an archway to the dining-room with a soft blue colour scheme. French windows lead to the patio and gardens. The sitting-room, which also has access to the garden, has a wood-burner effect gas stove. Upstairs, the bedrooms have wood floors and one has an en suite shower-room. The master bedroom has a cast iron bed, blue and white linens and a balcony overlooking the patio. The picturesque South Devon Steam Railway runs along the river and the whistle of the trains can be heard from the garden. Close to the south coast and Dartmoor, the location is ideal for a family or friends.
