Description

From The Round House, views follow the sloping valley to Porthcothan Bay, a sandy beach found within walking distance of the property along the coast road. Approached by an unmade lane, The Round House has been converted with a contemporary design, emphasising the spacious accommodation. Inside, neutral colours enhance the sense of light and space. The wonderful kitchen/dining-room faces the front terraced enclosed garden and patio, where steps lead down to a round, fenced pond (please take care with children). The large original roundhouse forms the very comfortable sitting-room which has a wood-burner and provides access to the conservatory and the sunny patio. There are two bedrooms and a bathroom on the ground floor, and on the first floor are a further three bedrooms and another bathroom. The enclosed garden enjoys views to the neighbouring farmland and countryside. A sequence of sandy beaches, hidden coves, bustling harbours and the fishing port at Padstow, renowned for its selection of seafood restaurants, are a short drive away. For those wishing to have a great beach on their doorstep Porthcothan is a brisk walk down the hill where all the family can enjoy seaside pursuits at any time of the year. Please note that the changeover times are 4pm on arrival and 10am on departure.
