Description

Woodpeckers is situated in a quiet, secluded spot within the Dartmoor National Park, with only the Owner’s thatched farmhouse in the immediate vicinity. Ideal for anyone wanting a peaceful rural retreat, this single-storey detached cottage is surrounded by beautiful countryside – a haven for wildlife. Approached by narrow Devon lanes, the cottage is reached by an old farm track, a quarter of a mile drive from the gate, offering lovely views over privately owned farmland and woods. The open plan living area is very attractive and has a glazed door leading out to a secluded, private patio with a pretty enclosed garden beyond. The bedroom has twin beds, ideal for couples or friends, and a spacious en suite bathroom. The charming town of Ashburton with its many antiques shops is only a short drive away and has a good selection of shops for everyday needs. The famous Haytor Rocks on Dartmoor are within a few minutes’ drive; the Cathedral City of Exeter, Torbay with its wonderful beaches, and historic Plymouth are less than an hour away. Please note the cottage has a private water supply which is tested regularly.
