St Mawes (see photograph) is a magical place year-round – in summer, a Mecca for sailors and in winter, a picturesque village with panoramic water views across the Carrick Roads from its seafront. There is a good selection of restaurants and art galleries, and in season there is a regular passenger ferry to Falmouth. Alternatively, the nearby King Harry Ferry will take you to the National Trust’s Trelissick Gardens and Gallery, home of Cornwall Craft exhibitors. Bosun’s Locker is quietly tucked away behind the seafront but within 50 yards walking distance of the harbour. Accessed through a shared entrance hall and up a short flight of stairs, the apartment is comfortably furnished, with a small paved terrace at the front. The open plan living-room has a blue check sofa and red easy chairs, and the limed-oak kitchen-area is well-equipped. The double bedroom is spacious, and the bathroom is fresh in white, green and blue. *A cot is not provided, please bring your own travel cot. Please note that the changeover times are 4pm on arrival and 10am on departure.
