Pipistrelle Cottage was formerly the old coach house servicing Treverven House, an 18th Century farmhouse and now the Owner’s home, on a site mentioned in the Domesday Book. Now, the smugglers have removed their bounty and the renovations are complete. This delightful, detached cottage has an enclosed garden and an interior which is refreshingly different, whilst retaining many original features. From the spacious dining-room, the attractive kitchen leads to the cosy sitting-room. With comfortable sofas and a warming wood-burner set in a stone hearth, this room is open to the height of the large wooden roof frames to incorporate the wonderful galleried bedroom (please take care with toddlers and the elderly) and en suite shower-room above. A further staircase leads from the dining-room to the colour co-ordinated twin bedrooms and the modern bathroom. For keen walkers there is an abundance of footpaths from the door down to the coastal path, whilst the galleries and shops at Penzance and Mousehole are within a short drive.
