In an idyllic location down a quiet lane just outside a pretty village and surrounded by open fields, this 18th Century cottage is well located for touring both the beautiful South Hams and dramatic Dartmoor. The market town of Totnes is nearby, with river trips in season to Dartmouth. Dartington has a fine craft centre and there are sandy beaches a short drive away at Slapton and Bantham. The cottage, attached to the Owners’ main house, has its own separate, sheltered, lawned garden bordered by a stream just across the courtyard. Beautifully decorated throughout, with polished wooden flooring and rugs in both the bedroom and living-room, which has a comfortable sofa and armchair in soft yellow. There is also a cosy wood-burner for out-of-season breaks. The slate-floored kitchen is well-equipped and the shower-room is also well appointed. An original, steep, wooden spiral staircase leads to a romantic bedroom, complete with a vaulted ceiling, wrought iron bedstead and patchwork quilt. Please note this property has a private water supply which is tested regularly.
