Close to Dartmoor National Park, dog-friendly and with gorgeous, extensive grounds, this former hayloft is a delight: think roses around the door, beamed ceilings and a welcoming open fire. This first floor property shares an entrance hall with the Owners’ main house, but otherwise guests are entirely private. The comfortable living-room is charming; the bedroom has twin beds that can be made up as a double if preferred. Outside, guests can wander through the enchanting enclosed grounds, planted with trees and featuring two ponds, and can also enjoy the shared games-room with its full-sized snooker table, table-tennis and darts. If you prefer more energetic activity, outside there is an all-weather tennis court – and even a croquet lawn.
Ideally located for venturing forth on to Dartmoor, which is a short distance away, the cottage is also within easy reach of the unspoilt Tamar Valley and Cornwall beyond so you have the best of both counties to explore. The Owners request that care is taken with dogs around livestock, also that dogs are not left unattended in the property.
