The little church at Church Cove, made famous by the BBC series Poldark, is a few minutes down the road, with National Trust parking neaby.
Sandy at low tide and lifeguarded in high season, plus toilets and a little hut serving snacks and drinks.
This lovely unspoilt beach, where you can spend time building pebble towers, sand castles or getting wet.
There are many dog-friendly beaches in high season and others will allow access early morning and evenings, alternatively, there are many inland walks to discover.
Pretty Porthleven harbour.
Coverack bay has a lovely sandy beach at low tide.
Kynance Cove is one of the gems on the Lizard peninsula.

This was our third stay in Bullpen or its sister, Cowshed, which really says it all. A lovely cottage in a very peaceful setting. The Bull Pen was a very clean and well equipped cottage. It is bigger than what the pictures make it look. The 2 bathrooms were ideal for our family and we enjoyed using the Woodburner after being out in the hail. The location was perfect with every where we wanted to visit within 50 minutes. It was also handy having sainsburys 5 minutes away as well. We loved driving down to church cove which is a 5 minute drive, especially nice later in the day when it's quite. We would holiday here again if we are in this part of Cornwall. Thank you for the chocolates and flowers and the dog bowls and bed....

Our Christmas stay at The Bull Pen was really enjoyable. The property was warm and inviting. Although it was only the two of us the open plan aspect made it nice that we were in the same room when cooking, or watching tv or relaxing. It was equipped really well especially having to cook a Christmas dinner. It lacked nothing. Thank you Jo for providing us with a perfect bolt hole. Hope to come again and would highly recommend.
