Wonderful barn conversion. Spacious, peaceful, warm and homely. Only thing that I would say is that Classic Cottage policy on dogs let us down. We added one day and for that additional day they charged us for a week for the dog but not for us? We paid £72 for a week and 1 day for the dog. I challenged this but it is their policy so beware of this if you are extending your stay by even 1 day with a dog with Classic Cottages. This is NOT an issue with the owners of Moorhayes who were absolutely wonderful hosts and I would highly recommend Moorhayes for anybody wishing to stay in a well located area for exploring Devon....

Had a fantastic Christmas & New Year at Moorhayes. Fresh scones, clotted cream & jam, fresh flowers and a decorated Christmas tree on arrival. The owners were great, even lent us a playstation so we could watch DVD's that Santa brought. We love to cook, the kitchen was excellently equipped, even a knife sharpener & garlic press. We had our old dog with us & although the garden is fully enclosed we kept him on a lead as he's not in the best of health & didn't want him running around. There are so many things to do in the area but you need a car as it is quite remote. Listening to owls & star gazing from the hottub was a delight. We enjoyed our Christmas break so much we are going back again for this Christmas & New Year...

We enjoyed a very relaxing and peaceful week at Moorhayes. The property is very comfortable, well-equipped with everything you need, and beautifully decorated. The garden is lovely and the hot tub is a real bonus! There aren't any facilities in the village of Broadwoodkelly itself, but that doesn't matter as there are options nearby and we did an online Waitrose delivery which was very easy. Plenty of interesting places to explore not too far away and there is a very helpful folder of information and leaflets in the cottage. We met our host, Alison, who was lovely and very helpful but left us to enjoy our holiday. All in all, a beautiful place to stay and we would definitely return. ...

You won't be disappointed if you choose this cottage with a peaceful location down narrow country lanes. The cottage is well appointed with excellent facilities, lovely kitchen, large comfy beds, and has the added luxury of a hot tub. We had no phone signal but could use the Internet for calls. Would definitely recommend this cottage if you like to get away from it all. Lovely woodland walks within a short drive...
