Mewstone View is a sleek, contemporary house only minutes from the beach with sea views from the living-room and two of the bedrooms. An enclosed sea-facing deck wraps around the back of the house and steps lead down to the beach road below. The spacious living-room is stunning, with glass doors showcasing the view and beautiful white leather sofas flanking the wood-burner; the kitchen includes an induction hob, Nespresso machine and granite work surfaces. Built into the side of a bank, the house has one bedroom on the ground floor, and downstairs are a double bedroom with sea views and doors out to its own patio, a twin bedroom, and a wet-room. Up on the first floor is another double bedroom and bathroom.

There is an alternative route to the beach through a lane opposite the house, easier for prams and pushchairs. There are wonderful coastal walks from the house, and Wembury beach is a short stroll away. Plymouth is close by, a foot ferry from nearby Mount Batten goes to the historic Barbican, and the glorious beaches and inlets of the South Hams, as well as Dartmoor, are only a short drive away – so there is plenty to do, all the time knowing you will be returning to this very special house.
