Otter’s Holt is set in 38 acres of beautiful Devon riverside meadows and woodland. This traditional smallholding has earned conservation awards from Natural England and offers a wonderful opportunity to feel part of a sustainable and environmentally-friendly way of living. The former cider barn boasts under-floor heating, a wood-burner in the sitting/dining-room and two good-sized bedrooms, one on the ground floor and one upstairs under the eaves. There is a sheltered, enclosed garden in this lovely setting, which includes a picturesque stretch of the River Exe 100 yards away across a field – where you might even catch a glimpse of an otter. The cottage adjoins the Owner’s 15th Century thatched farmhouse, but feels very private.
You can walk straight out of the cottage garden into the fields and orchards which are there for you to explore and enjoy – your dog will love the freedom to run around – and only a short drive away, the beautiful Exmoor National Park awaits your discovery. This easy to reach yet away from it all cottage gives you a genuine taste of life on a rural smallholding with rare breed sheep and cattle, goats and, most importantly, beautiful countryside to explore to help you switch off from the pressures of everyday life. Otter's Holt is a comfortable and friendly base with all the mod-cons you would expect.

Take care around the river, as the water is sometimes deep and fast-flowing, and with the sloping ceilings in Bedroom 2. The valley setting does mean that the broadband speed is not always consistent and the WiFi signal can therefore be weak at times.
