In a beautiful wooded valley in the east Quantock Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Brookside Cottage is an idyllic getaway.

This thatched semi-detached property lies within a conservation area, in a lovely sheltered position in the peaceful village of Holford. The cottage is the most tranquil of retreats and there is a variety of fantastic walks into the Quantock Hills quite literally from its doorstep. A classic babbling brook runs on the other side of the garden wall and there is ancient woodland beyond.

The exceptionally well-equipped kitchen/dining-room includes a Hotpoint cooker with halogen hob and in winter, the Rayburn's background heat ensures extra warmth. From the sitting-room, a porch opens to the enclosed front garden.

On the first floor leading from the landing, there are two lovely bedrooms, one with a king-size bed and the other with two single beds, as well as a brand new family shower-room with a luxurious walk-in shower.

Warm and cosy throughout the whole year, the cottage has heating to radiators provided by an oil-fired boiler and in the colder months, the Rayburn heats the kitchen and also the hot water; when it is turned off in the summer, the immersion heats the water.

The well stocked cottage garden is an abundance of colour from Spring to Autumn, the hydrangeas are a particular feature, along with the roses and honeysuckle. Professionally landscaped and lovingly cared for, the gardens are a true delight - be it your morning coffee or a glass of wine, take a seat and enjoy.

Brookside Cottage is peaceful and secluded yet easily accessible along good roads and is ideally placed for exploring this beautiful area, including the stunning Exmoor National Park and the north Somerset coast.
