Manor Farm Lodge is situated on the Somerset/Dorset border, with easy access to Devon. This beautifully presented cottage, surrounded by its traditional cottage garden, is the ideal base for exploring the fascinating and historic south Somerset and is within easy reach of the stunning Jurassic Coast at Lyme Regis.

The lodge is a Grade ll Listed period Victorian gatehouse, with special architectural interest, at the heart of the pretty, quintessentially English village of North Perrott – complete with pub and farm shop with cafe (both with free WiFi), cricket ground and 15th Century church.

The walled and fenced cottage garden provides a safe enclosure for pets and children. Guests are also welcome to venture through a delightful hedge archway into the stunning formal gardens of the original Manor House, to explore or just to sit and relax. You are invited to use the tennis court (available from the 01 April to the 01 October) and to meet the pet sheep and other farm animals.

Across the Manor gardens, in a private setting, there is a wonderful open fronted barn which has been set up for you to use for barbecues in the evening (after 6pm), when all the ducks and chickens have gone to bed!

This truly comfortable cottage has a cosy wood-burning stove in the sitting-room and a second ornamental one in the dining-room. Upstairs, the double bedroom boasts a brass bed with very high quality bed linens and the second bedroom has the flexibility to be set up as a single (with one bed removed) a double, or a twin to suit guests.

Lying within the warm-coloured hamstone village, there is an abundance of historical sites to visit such as Montacute, Lytes Cary, the Iron Age and Roman Hill Fort of Ham Hill – a geological site and a Scheduled Ancient Monument – the Roman city of Bath, the medieval city of Wells and the famous Glastonbury Tor. For the garden enthusiast, the Manor Gardens on your doorstep fit the bill but for visits out and about, there are the monastic Forde Abbey, East Lambrook and Tintinhull Garden.

The bustling market town of Bridport offers art and antiques lovers the opportunity to explore and Crewkerne is a hub for antique treasures. The World Heritage Jurassic Coastline provides the seaside experience, with fossil hunting opportunities at Lyme Regis and Charmouth bays.

Manor Farm Lodge is a cosy base, offering a traditional holiday with modern home comforts. There are beautiful walks for nature lovers right on the doorstep without having to take your car. Join the River Parrett Trail or explore the apple orchards just along the track that passes the front door.
