The large entrance hall is ideal for storing coats and boots - and for drying off a muddy dog!The Owner breeds Dexter cattle - the new calves are very small and very cute!All sorts of animals live on the farm - this is a three week old baby cashmere goat.

Description

Set in the beautiful Exe Valley in 30 acres of woodland and riverside meadows (see photograph), Otter’s Holt has been sensitively renovated by the Owners, who live next door in their 15th Century thatched farmhouse and whose commitment to conservation has earned them DEFRA’s prestigious Higher Level Stewardship award, for managing their smallholding using traditional methods. The former cider barn, constructed largely from sustainable building materials, also boasts under-floor heating, a wood-burner, LCD television and wireless broadband. One bedroom is tucked beneath the eaves upstairs (tall people beware), the other is downstairs next to the beautifully fitted kitchen. Beyond the enclosed garden wildlife abounds, and you might even glimpse an otter in the river, 100 yards away across a field – but beware, the water is sometimes deep and fast-flowing. Guests will also enjoy the Owners’ animals, including rare breed cattle, sheep, chickens, cashmere goats, several friendly dogs and assorted smaller furry friends! This property has a private water supply (regularly tested).
