This semi-detached cottage is a real gem, tucked away down a leafy path yet in the heart of the village of Strete, which has a good pub, restaurant and shop. A short walk from where you can park, down a few steps and along the path will bring you to the front of the cottage from where you will have panoramic sea views. These views can be seen from all the main rooms and from various areas of the terraced garden (take care with children around the small pond). The patio is outside the front door and you will probably spend time here admiring the view (see photograph). Pipers Cottage is a real home-from-home and the open fire, full central heating, conservatory-style dining-room and well-equipped kitchen make it very welcoming. This area of Devon, with its beaches and lovely villages, is well-known. Blackpool Sands is a wonderful beach just down the road and Dartmouth, with its long naval tradition, is within a short drive. A neighbour has a seldom-used right of way in front of the cottage.
