Tucked away in the centre of Mullion yet within a mile of the beach, charming little Corlan Cottage is surrounded by beautiful countryside. The village shops and facilities are just beyond the private drive shared with the neighbouring Owner, who also owns The Old Chapel (1329) nearby. The original beams and stonework inside this converted old granite building have been carefully preserved, and up in the eaves a minstrels’ gallery with a low sloping ceiling runs along two-thirds of the cottage, an intriguing ‘den’ accessed by a wall-ladder (please take care). The main accommodation, all on the ground floor, includes a cosy, tastefully decorated sitting/dining-room with a welcoming wood-burner for those cooler evenings. Each with a bathroom or shower-room both bedrooms, though small, are prettily furnished and overlook the front patio, the smaller twin room ideal for children. A stable-door from the compact but well-equipped kitchen leads to the enclosed back garden, with plenty of space for children and dogs to play while the grown-ups relax and admire the view. Poldhu, Polurrian and Mullion Coves are nearby, and Mullion’s renowned links golf course and the Helford River are both just a short drive away.
