Down a lane over the Bodmin and Wenford Steam Railway bridge is Colesloggett Farmhouse, set in the Glynn Valley, surrounded by 650 acres of Cardinham Woods. Apart from the Owners, who live in the grounds, and one neighbour, guests will be quite private. The sitting-room has a wood-burner and there is a dining-room as well as the kitchen with slate floors, an oil-fired Rayburn and a gas cooker, and steps down to a spacious pantry. Upstairs are three bedrooms and a bathroom, all in keeping with this 1730s cottage. Outside is a garden and orchard where chickens roam and there are swings for the children and a covered area for bicycles. Nature lovers will enjoy the pond (take care with children) and, with the sound of the occasional steam train in the distance, this is the ideal setting to step back in time (take care with children when watching the trains on Colesloggett’s own station). Equidistant from the north and south coasts, the cottage is just right for moor or bucket and spade holidays. There is a private water supply (tested regularly). Please note that the changeover times are 4pm on arrival and 10am on departure.
