This cosy little cottage is literally on the edge of Cadgwith beach, perched a few steps above the shore and looking straight out to sea. Many an hour can be whiled away watching the waves gently lap the shore, or, in a rare easterly, pound the rocks and cliffs nearby. The cottage is thought to have once been a fisherman’s net loft and the building to the back is still used for this purpose by the local fishermen. Beside Beach Cottage sits a similar cottage and your right of way crosses their patio. There is also a public footpath on the far side but this is seldom-used. You can enjoy relative privacy, set slightly apart from the bustle of the beach and village whilst still enjoying the sights and sounds of this quaint spot. The pine furnished living-room is delightful, with patio doors framing the superb views to advantage at any time of year – you can step out onto your own area of patio. The kitchen and bedroom are also furnished in pine, and throughout the cottage are original prints, the work of the Owner, a well-known artist. Cadgwith is a lively little village and perfectly captures the essence of Cornwall. There is the local pub just a short walk away and an excellent little local restaurant. Please note there is a five minute uphill walk to the car park. Broadband access is available at this property.
