Set above the beach in the attractive fishing village of Porthleven, Retanna has magnificent views out to sea – in one direction is the broad sweep of Mount’s Bay, and in the other the cliffs can be seen for miles. One of the many attractions is that Retanna has its own small garden across the road which is perched up above the long golden stretch of Porthleven Sands – please take care with children as, although there is a stone wall, it is a steep drop down to the beach (see photograph). There is even a small conservatory adjoining an old net store so you can enjoy the views whatever the weather. Inside the cottage itself, there are sea views from almost every room. The rooms are spacious – especially the sitting-room with its beamed ceiling and old ornamental stone fireplace. There is also a large enclosed yard at the rear of the property.
