In the village of Down Thomas, just a mile from the beach and in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Princes Granary, which adjoins the Owners’ 18th Century farmhouse, is an ideal hideaway for couples. Wonderful coastal walks along the South West Coast Path can be accessed from the footpath network passing through the grounds of the Owners’ house. Approached by a flight of stone steps (regretfully unsuitable for the elderly), you enter the attractive sitting/dining-room which has a high ceiling featuring oak trusses, cream walls, a wood-burner effect gas stove, stripped pine floors and views across open countryside. Large armchairs and coloured rugs complete the stylish feel. Cleverly incorporated beyond the sitting/dining-room are a separate galley-style kitchen and a shower-room. Narrow wooden stairs lead down to the hallway and bedroom below, the latter having a romantic four-poster bed and white lime-washed walls. Guests also have their own garden and the Owner offers therapies, available on site at cost.
