Charles and Lynda have designed the perfect retreat to enjoy this gorgeous part of south Devon. An attractive detached stone barn conversion, they have used numerous hardwoods including red cedar fixtures and oak flooring. The cottage offers full access to the surrounding four acres of gardens, wildlife ponds (please take care with children) and woodland. The Owners’ house (where Bed and Breakfast is available) and another small cottage are within the same spacious grounds, but The Garden Cottage has its own south-facing patio with steps to the gardens. With reversed accommodation taking advantage of the garden views, the two pretty bedrooms and bright bathroom are on the ground floor, and upstairs is an open plan living-room with a well-equipped kitchen and welcoming wood-burner. With full central heating, this cottage is ideal for winter breaks. Nearby are Beesands beach and Slapton Ley, whilst the spectacular coastal path to Start Point, where the National Trust has marked several signed footpaths, is just ten minutes’ walk.
