The narrow tree-lined lanes of unspoilt south east Cornwall lead down to sandy beaches and tiny villages tucked away in small rocky coves. A mile or so on from the quaintly-named village of Crafthole, you come to Freathy Cliff. This long stretch of cliffs follows the coastline almost down to the promontory of Rame Head. Not visible until you get to the gate, steep steps (please take care with children and the elderly) lead down the terraced garden, past a small patio and then down again to Gulls Roost itself. The kitchen is very well-equipped and from here the door opens into the spacious living-room and the spectacular view out to sea. Eddystone Rocks are in the distance and at night the sweep of the Eddystone lighthouse can be seen on the horizon. There is a small patio-area in front of the house and sliding doors lead out from the living-room. The cliffs slope away from the edge of the small grassed area in front of the bungalow so regretfully this property is not suitable for young children. A footpath nearby leads down to the beach (a steep climb back up). Please note this property has a private water supply which is tested regularly.
