Semi-detached Crow’s Nest is found in the evocatively historic setting of Charlestown on the south Cornish coast. The largely unspoiled village, now a living museum, is still a working port exporting china clay but is predominantly famous for its majestic four masted sailing ships, used extensively in historical films. Crow’s Nest is set just yards from the water, in a quiet residential lane that borders a stream at the rear (fenced but please take care with children). Decorated with soft neutral colours giving a restful air, the cottage is perfect for families and friends alike. The open plan living-room has a door out to an enclosed stream-side garden and patio, lovely for breakfast or evening drinks. The large en suite bedroom has a dressing-room (ideal for a travel cot) while the double and twin bedrooms share the family bathroom. With the Eden Project, Heligan Gardens and the sailing town of Fowey only short car jaunts away, there is plenty to keep everyone happy, but if filming is taking place you may just want to sit on the harbour and watch the magnificent sailing ships elegantly manoeuvre out in the bay.
