On the edge of Dartmoor, this cosy little retreat is set down a tiny No Through Road in the hamlet of Quither, with the Owners’ house, the former mill complete with waterwheel, across the gravelled yard. Guests have their own garden (see right of photograph) and can relax in tranquil surroundings. Inside this single-storey barn, the open plan living area is decorated in soothing creams and dark browns with a recliner sofa and a well designed kitchen, and the bedroom is spacious with a king-size double bed. The village of Chillaton, with its thriving shop and a pub, is just a mile away and the beauty of Dartmoor is a short drive. If wanting to explore in the evenings, nearby Tavistock boasts some excellent restaurants, interesting shops and a busy market on most weekdays. So forget the stresses of everyday life and head for Devon. *A cot is not provided, please bring your own travel cot.
