The countryside surrounding Snaffles Barn is steeped in equestrian history, the cottage itself a beautifully converted old stable. Formerly racehorse trainers themselves, the Owners run a small livery yard next door, nowadays living a rather slower paced life with their dogs and chickens. Comfortable, light and spacious, detached Snaffles Barn has oak floors, bespoke carriage-green kitchen units and luxurious black leather sofas facing the wood-burner in the sitting-area, where double doors lead onto a gravelled patio – the ideal spot for a leisurely breakfast. Upstairs are the bathroom and two softly carpeted bedrooms, the generous double with a king-size sumptuous leather bedstead. Outside, the enclosed front garden captures the evening sun, perfect for relaxing after busy days out. Honiton is a short drive away, the beaches at Exmouth and Lyme Regis are within easy reach, and the magical splendour and stunning scenery of Dartmoor and Exmoor are accessible in under an hour.
