This is just how you would imagine the perfect cottage to be, tucked away in a peaceful rural valley yet only minutes by car from some gorgeous beaches. Approached down a half-mile farm track (take care with low suspension vehicles) the setting is truly magical, with a broad sweep of 14 acres of privately owned meadows and woodlands, bordered by a small stream (take care with toddlers). There is a large slate-floored, L-shaped sitting-room with a wood-burner at one end and an open fire at the other. Steps lead down to the spacious and well-equipped kitchen where another step separates the working end from the dining-area. From here, a stable-door opens out to the garden. As it was once two cottages, there are two staircases to the first floor bedrooms, and for those whose work pursues them on holiday, there is a study on the ground floor. Orchard Cottage offers a little piece of heaven with the only neighbours, apart from an occasional rambler, being Primrose Cottage (1021) and a small caravan elsewhere in the grounds used occasionally by the Owner’s family.
