Lympstone is one of those undisturbed Devon villages, hugging the eastern bank of the Exe estuary with much to offer; waterside walks to Exmouth, small beaches exposed at low water, a village shop owned and run by the community and no less than four pubs. Nearby Topsham has some interesting shops and restaurants and if wanting to visit Exeter, there is a rail link to the City. East View Cottage, one of a pair dating back to the early 1600s, is tucked well back from the road with a narrow entrance (middle cottage in the photograph). The ground floor is open plan and furnished in soft creams, oatmeal and whites with an inglenook fireplace and an attractive kitchen/dining-area. French doors lead out to a private raised patio. Upstairs are the two pretty bedrooms, both dressed with sumptuous linens, as well as the stylish bathroom. Just right for escaping the stresses of everyday life, East View Cottage is the perfect bolthole. *A cot is not provided, please bring your own travel cot.
