Lost and Found is ideal for those seeking rest and tranquility. Surrounded by the Greenway Estate, once owned by Agatha Christie (now run by the National Trust), the cottage sits at the head of a wooded valley 300 feet above the River Dart. Greenway House was said by Agatha Christie to be ‘the loveliest place in the world; it takes my breath away’, and is open to the public from the summer of 2009. There are many walks directly from the cottage – the view in the photograph is from just down the lane. This Edwardian mid-terrace cottage is reached by a private lane and has several steps down to the entrance. There is a pretty cottage garden with a patio-area and views the valley. The lane is on the Dart Valley Trail so cross the river by foot ferry to lunch in Dittisham or Dartmouth. Alternatively, there are several excellent restaurants within a short drive.
