Amid rolling countryside close to the glories of the south Devon coast, this is the perfect country retreat, built from golden flint under a thick thatch. Near the Owners’ 16th Century farmhouse and accessed through an enclosed courtyard, Stockers Cottage has its own terrace with views across undulating farmland (please supervise dogs around livestock), separated from the cottage by an ingenious ha-ha (please take care with children). The lovingly renovated interior offers comfort and relaxation, the restful sitting-room having a cosy wood-burner. The hand-built kitchen is well-equipped and a separate dining-room encourages convivial meals. Upstairs, both bedrooms look over farmland and the bathroom has been finished to a high standard. Parking for a boat trailer can be provided by arrangement. With Lyme Regis in one direction and bustling Honiton with its tea-rooms and antique shops in the other, there is plenty to keep you busy. The Jurassic Coast is near, the beaches at Beer and Branscombe beg to be explored and countryside walks abound. After all that exercise, a Devon cream tea should be high on your list of priorities! *A cot is not provided, please bring your own travel cot.
