The Croft is a pretty little self-contained annexe to the Owner’s home, set at the end of a private lane in a peaceful gravelled courtyard flanked by a small group of former barns. Thoughtfully planned to maximise space, the cosy open plan living-room is furnished in pine and restful shades, with an attractive hand-painted kitchen. A steep ladder-style staircase (unsuitable for the elderly – or arthritic knees!) leads to the spacious en suite bedroom, where ‘zip and link’ beds offer the choice of double or twin accommodation. Guests will enjoy walking the coastal paths, climbing Tregonning Hill for its spectacular panoramic views to both coasts, taking an unforgettable day trip to the beautiful Scillies, or exploring west Cornwall’s many sandy beaches. After all that activity, why not bask in the evening sun in the sheltered garden – a few yards away from the cottage, at the end of the courtyard.
