This wonderfully comfortable second floor penthouse apartment (a lift is available for guests’ use) has glimpses of the nearby sea from every room. Set down a private road close to the four star Carlyon Bay Hotel, there is an excellent seaside golf course almost opposite and coastal walks in both directions. Beautifully decorated, light and spacious throughout, Bream Rocks has an open plan living-room with a pair of cream leather sofas and doors onto a large balcony which makes the most of the view (see photograph). The gleaming white kitchen-area is exceptionally well-equipped and the dining-area has a contemporary glass-topped table. The double bedroom has floor length windows and a door onto the balcony, and along with the twin room shares the cream and white bathroom, which has a double-sized shower as well as a bath. The pretty sailing town of Fowey and the busy fishing port of Mevagissey are a short drive away, as are the Eden Project, Heligan Gardens, and the square-rigged sailing ships moored in nearby Charlestown harbour.
